We had our parties yesterday. Andrew had 5 friends over and Hollyann had 6. They both had a good time but it was a little crazy. Some parents stayed and helped out but the time went very quickly and before we knew it, it was all over. They kids have found some really great friends here and it shows that they are making good choices in the people they choose to spend their time with.
Andrew is not a big party guy and ended up building Legos in the back room because it was just too busy for him. We'll have to remember for next year that maybe 1 friend for him is just about right.
Then we went to Birmingham for a little shopping and dinner. Hollyann wanted to do to the Disney store and a couple of other places that we don't have in Montgomery. And they she chose Texas Roadhouse for dinner. She loves their bread the best. We like going up there and having a real city but the drive really does get long when you are done and ready to be home.
The kids want to thank everyone who remembered them with gifts and cards. They were thrilled with every choice you made and will be sending out their thanks, along with pictures, very soon. That's another thing we worked on today - dozens of thank you cards :0)
