It's obviously been awhile since I posted so I have a few pictures and a little information.
My parents are on their great adventure to Alaska with some friends and my aunt. They have a blog so if you'd like to keep up with them, here is their address: harvandverlaklaver.blogspot.com. They have just figured out how to post pictures so there should be lots of interesting information on it in the next couple of months.
We have been busy praying for a couple of things in the last couple of months. Barrett's brother and his family have been looking for a new career since Christmas and the Lord has graciously provided a great job in Huntsville, AL with L3 Communications. Collin starts on June 23rd so they are quickly packing up life in San Antonio and moving on. We are excited they are within driving distance to us, now, and hope to see more of them.
We've also been looking for a house for our friends who are moving up here from Montgomery, AL this month. We kissed a lot of frogs before we found a real prince and so they are ready to move and have a great house waiting for them.
God really made us all wait for answers on both of these but we are thrilled with His provision. We are excited for Collin &Janelle and their new adventure. And we are excited for Jeremy & Renae - mostly for ourselves as this will be the first time we have been stationed with them since college and we're looking forward to hanging out with them again.
School is almost out - this Friday is their last day. Andrew had Field Day today and it is SO hot! The norm for this time of year is 85 and it's 99 today with heat index over 100! Barrett took the day off to meet the washer repairman. He has been helping change sheets, carting winter clothes downstairs, washing the dog and slip & sliding with the kids. We also took the van in for "routine" maintainence to find a HUGE bill to replace all kinds of crap. We do trust our mechanic and it does have 120,000 miles on it so I guess it's OK but we weren't counting on the repair costs. This better last us until I get a new car, right? Hopefully :0)
I got my first payck for walking dogs in the mail today. It wasn't huge will be help with our summer activities. I don't have anymore jobs lined up but hope to as people start going on vacation.
Barrett took the kids to a Washington Nationals game last Friday. So there are a few pictures of that and they water fun in the yard during the HOT weather.
You can see from our ticker that baby is close to being ready to come. We are counting down and are SO ready. She'll be here before we know it and are planning lots of summer activities to make the time go quickly. As soon as Barrett's mom gets here, she better make her appearance or I'm gonna be upset! We'll see how obedient she is :0)
