Another White House Tour

We got to have another tour today only this time, it was of the residential part. So while we couldn't take pictures inside the West Wing, we could take pictures outside. Well, for this part of the House, you couldn't even take a camera with you so we didn't get any pictures of any of it. We walked out and I said, "It makes it feel not quite over if you can't take a group picture, right?"
We got the tour from some very good friends, Joe & Mary. Joe works in the White House and he set up a tour for his MIL who is visiting from Arizona but it turned out that Joe & Mary couldn't go because their littlest one had to have tubes put in his ears today. So we took their 2 oldest kids and Grandma :0) Barrett even got to come over from work for a little while and join us.
It is a self-guided tour so we got to take our time and see what we wanted. It was very interesting but we really couldn't believe that someone really lives there and calls it "home." Could you ever really feel at home in a place where people tour and is basically a museum? But Joe says that they really live on the 3rd floor (which we didn't see) and after you've lived there for 8 years, it's probably pretty much yours.
We had a really great time and even though we couldn't take pictures, we will never forget. Thanks Joe & Mary!
