Last weekend, we went to a little town that time forgot. Just south of us is the town of Clifton and it has a traditional small-town feel that is only about 20 minutes away. It was one of the main villages in N Va back during the young days of our country - historic homes line the main street with markers explaining each one and why it's special. We ate at the a local "pub" that is really just a little cafe. And then went to dessert at the famous ice cream parlor. We walked up and down the streets, reading the signs and just enjoying the day that was humid but not too hot.
This last picture is Hannah just being a toddler. While she is not walking, I feel like my "baby" is gone. She has started following us around the house and reaching for us when she wants to be held. While her signs have been a little mixed up until now, she is getting better and better at saying what she wants. She says "milk" and "please" with great regularity. She has started the whole thing where she tries to give you things all the time. She tries to share her food with you and feed you if you are close enough to reach. While she is not saying words, exactly, her sounds are much more like words in inflection and content. She is just getting so big - 10 months already and will be a year before we know it :0)

What fun - and what a big girl! Is she really that big? Hard to believe.
