Some Pictures

Here it is, the 14th of July and I haven't posted since the 2nd - disgraceful.

Anyway, we have been trying to keep busy. It's been hard to not be bored but we are trying. Barrett went to work this week and we really missed him. His days are much longer than the past 4 years and so it will take awhile to adjust to not having him around so much. He leaves the house as 6:30 and doesn't get home until 5:30 so it's a long day for him and we miss him.
We have some plans for the rest of the summer so hopefully, we won't be searching for things to do everyday.

Unpacking is going very well. We got Barrett's car into the garage today and I will be able to get in tomorrow with very little effort - that was our big goal. It's just too hot in the summer to have the cars sitting out in the hot sun all day long. We are finding that we really have a lot more storage in this house than what we first thought. We are managing to get everything in it's proper place without doing anything weird or buying new storage shelves or drawers.

We have been doing some scrounging around at yard sales & craigslist.org but are pretty much set up. We still need a few things like decorations for the bathrooms & such but all that will come in time when we find just the right stuff.

We even got to go to a movie today :0) Barrett and I wanted to see Harry Potter and knew we couldn't take the kids so we found some neighborhood girls to sit and we went out...alone :0) Who knows when we'll get to do that again?! We very much enjoyed the movie but agree with the consensus that it is not for children anymore.

Here are some pictures of the last couple of weeks. The Washington Monument, first Metro trip, our trailer/house, 4th of July cake, and Rainbow's play area created by the McCann kids.
