President's Day

We had a good weekend. Saturday, Hollyann had a Young Author's Conference at school wear she was supposed to write and story and then bring it to share. She worked all week and had a hard time coming up with something that was original (because she reads so much, she just kept coming up with stories that were already stories) but she ended up doing fine and had fun at the Conference. They had a published author come and speak and share so they learned some things, too.
Sunday was church and Bible Study. We are enjoying our classes but not sure what we will do when they are over. We'll have to see if there is anything else we are interested in taking.
Yesterday, we went up to Birmingham. I wanted to go to a health-food store for some things, and there just have stores up there that we dont' have so we like to go every now & then to get caught up on what's out there and eat some good food. Barrett & the kids ate at Johnny Rockets while I enjoyed a salad from Panera. The weather was beautiful! My only goal was to find Andrew some new church shoes and we did not succeed but we will keep trying.
Today we are off to the consignment store on base to start clearing out before we have to start packing again. You can only bring 16 items at a time so it takes awhile to get all your stuff brought in and it seems that the kids keep out growing stuff. So the pile of stuff to move out keeps growing, too. Once Barrett gets me a set of orders, then I can take twice as many items but still, it takes awhile to get it all in there. It is a very successful store so I know it will all sell once we get it there.
